New Zealand Unlocks Fresh Wave Of Hydrocarbon Exploration
The kiwi’s are leading the way down under with a fresh wave of hydrocarbon exploration, much to the seething of the climate cult

New Zealand goes in the complete polar opposite direction of the United Kingdom. Whilst Ed Miliband is doing everything in his power to run this country into the ground, the Kiwi’s with their right wing coalition are making moves in the right direction and will open up fresh hydrocarbon exploration. This has the climate cult reeeing and we love to see it. They claim “the reversal will lay waste to the country’s climate credentials”.
Well actually, this would put them in the hall of fame legend category of countries taking on the climate cult. I think the politicians will sleep well at night knowing soy infested climate cult bug eating members are upset with them.
In 2018, the Jacinda Ardern-led Labour government banned the granting of new offshore oil and gas exploration permits as part of its plan to transition toward a carbon-neutral future. Just like good old Red Ed is doing right now!
Environmental groups hailed the ban as a milestone in the fight against climate change, and commended New Zealand for standing up to “one of the most powerful industries in the world”. Oh how times change, eh? We’re winning the culture war around the world and finally the climate cult is being put back into its crazy net zero box.
On Thursday afternoon, the ruling right-wing coalition voted to reverse the ban after the third and final reading of the crown minerals amendment bill – a move it believes will alleviate energy shortages and high energy prices. The bill passed by 68 votes to 54.
“The ban sent a chilling message to the investment community, halting the very exploration that underpins our energy security and leading directly to the supply constraints and price volatility that we see today,” climate and energy minister Simon Watts told parliament. What a load of horseshit! It is impressive these people believe their own deluisons. Hydrocarbons have provided the greatest upliftment to humanity we’ve ever known. They are cheap and reliable. It was only after we started going off the climate cult deep end trying to power everything on intermittent wind and solar that things started to fall apart. Gas lighting at its finest. Wind turbines suck and solar panels suck also.
“In times where renewable production decreases, it is clear that we need contingency options to ensure that Kiwis are not left footing a bigger bill, and to ensure that we have sufficient supply.”
Gas lighting! Renewable energy causes energy prices to go up. This is why the UK’s electricity bills are sky rocketing and we are world leaders in electricity prices. We never used to have this problem and it was only after we started to try and rely on renewables did we have any trouble at all.
It seems someone has put a rocket up the Kiwi’s ass and they are charging full steam ahead in the exact opposite direction of where the UK is going. Love to see it!
In 2024, the government passed a law that could see contentious mining and infrastructure projects fast-tracked for approval, while in May, the coalition set aside $200m of its budget to invest in gas exploration. In June, New Zealand pulled out of the Beyond Oil and Gas Alliance, an international coalition for phasing out fossil fuels. Just like how Barclays and HSBC quit the Net Zero Banking Alliance!
The coalition government plans to boost mineral exports to $3bn by 2035, and at the same time has slashed funding to conservation and climate initiatives. The government has said these policies will enable economic growth. Let’s go New Zealand.
Opposition parties were united against the bill, with Labour’s Megan Woods calling it “an ideological desire to look to the past instead of investing in the future ”.
Well, Megan, you can go sit in a dark cold room with the lights off, heating off and clap your hands to the tune of net zero while the rest of us get on with it and enjoy the abundance this wonderful world and hard earned society has to offer.
