Can anyone explain why we have been building all these solar panels if now we are going to try and send the sun’s rays back to space!?

In a move straight out of a sci-fi fever dream, the UK has greenlit a £50 million experiment to block out the sun in a bid to curb “runaway climate change.” The project, backed by the government and cloaked in eco-virtue, aims to deploy solar geoengineering—think spraying reflective particles into the stratosphere to bounce sunlight back into space. It’s like putting a giant parasol over Earth, except it’s wildly expensive and reeks of hubris.

The Advanced Research and Invention Agency (Aria) will announce the funded projects within weeks, making Britain one of the world’s biggest funders of geoengineering research. Professor Mark Symes, Aria’s programme director, confirmed there would be “small controlled outdoor experiments on particular approaches”.

2001 IPCC Report Proved Runaway Climate Change Near Impossible With Green House Gases

Solar geoengineering’s a Pandora’s box—once opened, good luck closing it. Instead of playing god with the atmosphere we should be embracing warmer temperatures should they ever come. The amount of propaganda it must have taken to convice the UK population to not want it to be a bit warmer is staggering. The IPCC’s 2001 warnings still hold; ignoring them for a £50 million stunt is folly. Truth demands skepticism, not blind faith in techno-fixes that could burn us worse than the sun ever will.
