There are a collection of talking points you get hit with in any discussion about the climate that are easy to combat when you have the truth, which is thankfully, the good news!

The great thing about educating the people on the climate con is we get to bring them the good news.

With everything else it involves trying to get to people to look more at the negative things in the world which has its place but is limited mainly because most people already have enough stress and don’t need even more fear and stress!!

Having a foundation of knowledge helps in conversation with friends and family because you will notice you’ll get hit with a collection of talking points that are easy to counter when you have the information.

1. The Antartic Ice Sheet Is Increasing

The Antarctic ice sheet saw a massive 100 billion ton increase in just one year, according to this study by Science China Earth Sciences. This study finds that the Antarctic Ice Sheet experienced a record-breaking mass gain between 2021 and 2023, largely due to anomalous increases in precipitation. The rebound is especially significant in East Antarctica, where four major glacier basins had previously shown signs of destabilisation. Smashing the narrative that this is a catastrophe waiting to happen. Although we could go a step further and question if we want this place warmer or colder.

This is good news in that it destroys a very common talking point you will get hit with. To be fair though, we don’t buy into the dangers of mild warming so it is debatable if this is truly good news in the ultimate, but any information destroying The Climate Con in all it’s forms is always good news

2. Polar Bear Numbers Have Increased Dramatically Since 1950

This is in large part due to hunting restrictions but that isn’t the point. The point is that when left alone, the polar bears were just fine in their current habitat and the narrative that they are all starving and going extinct because of global warming is complete bullshit!

Polar bear populations have grown significantly since the 1950s, rising from an estimated 5,000–10,000 to around 22,000–31,000 by 2015. Anyone wishing to dive deeper into this subject should check out the stellar work of Susan Crockford.

3. Because Of More CO2 The Earth Is Greening At An Incredible Rate

Due to CO2 levels increasing in the atmosphere, the earth is greening at an incredible rate. NASA has reported significant greening equal to the size of 2 continental United States!

This great news for all plant lovers and anyone who loves nature in any way shape or form! Because CO2 is the gas of life and it is plant food the plants are loving being in higher CO2 levels and would welcome even higher and guess what, it wouldn’t be the end of the world!

4. Cows Are Not Planet Destroyers!

Nope, surprise surprise, cows burping, farting and eating grass is not destroying the planet. The biogenic carbon cycle is a wonderful cycle of nature, the carbon and methane cows emit was in the grass they eat already!

The most incredible increase in global living standards has been in large part due to our access to cheap, reliable, clean energy. Thankfully we figured out how to use fossil fuels to our advantage and human civilisations has lept into great heights because of this.

Mad greenies who want to get go back to the medieval period can go have fun at an off grid community somewhere, whilst the rest of us continue to enjoy the wonderful abundance that comes from enjoying the progress humanity has made and will continue to make.
